After coming to grips with taking photographs and editing them I find myself with less enthusiasm for realistic images. I imagine this is much as some artists stopped depicting what they thought they saw as realistically as possible and turned to a different style which expressed their emotions - including completely abstract images. I am finding my way forward with my own photographic interests.

I am open to receiving comments and critiques. I learnt photography in an open atmosphere where (whatever I felt about my own images) there was always room for others to suggest their ideas. Years ago I did the OU/RPS ten week course. The only course I have ever attended - they have groups on Flickr and their attitude is/was for members to exchange helpful comments. Some of us have continued to do this to the present day and there are at least 8 of my contacts (some who have never been on that course) who offer this kind of exchange - and are pleased to receive any comments from me. They know who they are - FF , MC and WT are three good examples (FF was not a course member but we exchange suggestions at times). They have all commented, offered suggestions and accepted with no upset at all. I will assume that if you offer me help or constructive criticism - you will be prepared to receive the same in return. If not, then do say so. Happy to respond by Flickrmail. People use Flickr for a variety of reasons. For some it is an online photo album, maybe for others a place to show their work in order try to sell - some members use it as a kind of blog.

Of course, it is WONDERFUL to get 'faves' and positive comments without anyone offering constructive advice but I am also very interested in the sharing of ideas in order to improve our work. We will not always agree - but that is fine.

Thank you. Happy snapping.
