I grew up in Wales and have lived in England, New York, San Francisco and now the Washington D.C. area. My Dad was a biology teacher and he taught me a lifelong appreciation and respect for all living things. I'm a veterinarian, have a Ph.D. in parasitology and conduct research on neglected tropical diseases for my day job. What I get up to in my spare time ends up in my photostream.
