Browsing through Nihang Teja Singh's photostream one will be immediately aware this is indeed a very competent photographer offering content that is far from the norm. Displaying both a creative flair with an eye, and a fine expert technique for picture making. Nihang Teja Singh, would appear to be equally competent with either colour or making his images in monochrome. His fresco work is beautifully captured with an expert use of colour balance and contrast, whilst his monochrome portraiture work really stands out as something rather different. It is perhaps the latter, his black and white monochrome work, that is personally the most appealing. Not only for its superb technical perfection, with a full tonal range and outstanding contrast, but also for the extraordinary character studies depicted in his wonderful portraits. Coming from where I do. I am not exposed to such culture as so expertly recorded by, Nihang Teja Singh. It is therefore not only an enlightenment to view such a culturally rich content but also a personal inspiration to view such a masterful photostream. So this is Flickr's at its very best, a place to be exposed to the work of others and content that is so richly diversifying from the normal daily fodder. This is what Nihang Teja Singh offers his fellow Flickrites, and his photostream is certainly in many respects worth the viewing. Thank you for sharing this body of work and I look forward to any new works in the future.

If it’s possible to capture the ethereal souls of people and places with the clumsy materials of man, then surely Chitrakari is a member of that talented minority to have achieved it. His work goes further than simply inspiring in me a desire to meet those characters and visit those places – I feel as if I have already been in their presence, and walked amongst their shadows. Truly excellent! I look forward to going on many more such journeys in the future. :o)

The unique aspect of Chitrakari's photography is more than the excellent creative photography that he brings it is the depth of knowledge that accompanies the photographs in the captions to these fabulous images.

What really stands out in his collection though, is his black and white portraits of people like members of the Akali Nihang Singh sect of the Sikh religion. Chitrakari gives such an amazing air of dignity and regal aura to his portraits. He reminds me of Richard Avedon.

Hey there Chitrakari. I am astonished that no one has yet given you any testimonials - especially given that you have some fantastic photos up. While browsing through your sets, I must say that I was overcome by desire to visit India and The Punjab. From the insight you have given the few of us privileged enough to view your photos, you capture the emotion, style and beauty of the land and people in remarkable detail. You have a natural talent for many styles of photography - in particular B&W portraits which look like they would be at home in an issue of National Geographic. Thank you for sharing your photos - the Tourism Board of India should consider hiring you as a professional photographer! keep up the great work!
