As a very new amateur photographer, a lot of the photos here may be described as "another step in the learning process". Nonetheless I think that with every day out shooting I am learning more about the craft, and enjoying it to an ever greater degree.
I am a 23 year old native of Sydney, Australia born to Philippine-Spanish parents. I study Science and International Culture at the University of Technology, Sydney (and hope to graduate by the end of 2010).

For the greater part of 2009 I am in Kofu, Japan studying Japanese language and culture at the University of Yamanashi(国立大学法人山梨大学).
As a member of a Catholic religious order (the Dominican Laity, or Order of Preachers - Laity) I have a particularly keen interest in the practice of Christianity in Japan. In addition to photos of my daily life and other interesting things, I hope to explore and photograph in detail the important places and actions in the life of Christians here in Kofu and around Japan.
I also have an interest in the natural environment, the built environment, the rites and praxis of non-Christian religions, and unique dress.
Lastly, I author the humble blog Chiral Capers, where I document my experiences and gather notes for my research. Thanks for looking, and please pray for me.
