Hi, my name is David Chiem and i live in Brisbane, Australia.

My day job as a Mechanical Engineer involves me designing 'Green Buildings' or energy efficient/high performance buildings. I work for a multi-national, multi-disciplinary, award winning consultancy where i mainly specialise in HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning). I like to think that i design for human comfort within the built environment, but doing so whilst minimising the negative impacts of our environment.

My role as an engineer first and foremost is to be a driver to combat climate change, and secondly to be an educator on how to become a more sustainable society.

My fiance complains that i have too many hobbies, and photography is no exception!!! My passion derives from the love of capturing memorable moments that can be savoured forever, and sharing those happy memories with others! I am constantly seeking to improve myself as a photographer strive to be better tomorrow than yesterday!!!
