I was born in 1950. In part because of my father's job and in part because of my own, I have lived about 30 years abroad, mainly in Peru, Middle East and Kenya. I am Italian.

Most of my life I have worked as a programmer, which, btw, is a work I don't like very much. It was fun when I started, 40 years ago, but it is not anymore.

In my teens I was an accomplished photographer and I did all my developing and printing, B&W of course. Then other interests and work made me leave photography altogether, until last year when my wife gave me a small camera as a birthday present. I discovered that I had forgotten everything.

We live in Tuscany, in a small village near Florence. We have moved to Montevideo, Uruguay. We share the house with Lili (the dog), Attila (the black cat) and Vicky, a female blackbird I found standing in the middle of the road when she was about 10 days old and she is still with us, with no intention of leaving. And as a few days ago we have also Pavarotti, a magnificent cockatiel.
