Firstly, thanks for visiting, I appreciate your taking time out to look at my profile. If you made it this far, I hope you will take a few minutes to look through my work.
I have been taking photos a long time now, and am still learning every day.
I am an Englishman and lived in the USA for 10 years variously in Ohio, Oregon and Virginia but am presently on a 3 year expat assignment in India. At the time of writing I have lived in this magnificent country for two years and it really is Incredible India as its tourist advertising claims.
I think often of Rudyard Kipling's poem, The Conundrum of the Workshops and believe there is a photography lesson for me in his words:
When the flush of a new-born sun fell first on Eden's green and gold,
Our father Adam sat under the Tree and scratched with a stick in the mould;
And the first rude sketch that the world had seen was joy to his mighty heart,
Till the Devil whispered behind the leaves, "It's pretty, but is it Art ?"

Paul is the most talented photographer I know. He has both the technical talent to take great photographs, and the artist's ability to communicate through his work. While his still life photography is his specialty, I haven't seen any genre he doesn’t do exceptionally well. Besides his obvious talent, Paul is an incredibly good guy with a great sense of humor. I count him as a friend, and consider myself lucky do so! Keep up the good work, my friend.
Read lessA man with a wonderful eye for beauty and light. An artist. God created flowers and Chesil made them even more beautiful with his camera.
Chesil provides some of the nicest macro photography I've seen for a long time. He makes excellent use of soft lighting in his flower shots and has the extraordinary ability to turn even the most mundane of subjects - such as the zipper on a pair of jeans - into a work of art!
Exquisite photos of flowers. Detail and composition are very impressive! Enjoyed the slideshow!
