Amateur Photographer, Loves to travel, Lives and works overseas - currently in Africa, would love any comments/criticisms on any of my pictures.

I guess I can say that I started taking pictures, well solely for the sake of taking pictures, a while back when I purchased my Canon Digital Kiss (Rebel), started remembering all that I had learned before in school and having fun until I had my camera STOLEN in Benin.

Was in a period of mourning for my camera and got along with a point and shoot (to be fair it was really nice) until my sister brought up the idea of buying another camera.

Finally after 2 years I gave in and bought my Nikon D40 along with the 18-200 mm VR and a couple of other accessories and filters. I am planning on getting my money's worth out of it until I upgrade to a new camera (hopefully upgrading my skills and experiences on the way as well).

My job takes me to a lot of places, and I always seem to HAVE to travel for my vacation, it isn't a vacation until I go to another country. So I hope to be taking pictures for many, many years to come.

I am interested in HDR as well, but I am trying to get the basics down before I do anything else.
