My name is James Matthews and I have been a photographer since 2012.

It all started with an English teacher needing images of a cricket match but it didn’t stop there. As my school years progressed I became more involved in capturing school events. From open nights to sports matches I have done it all.

Over the time I have been behind the lens I have taught myself many different genres of photography to discover a Documentary style.

Today I still don’t know all the tricks but my passion and love for capturing memories is constantly growing.

I am now an intern for Northumbria University Sport and Marketing team, producing content for the university’s sport platforms.
