About Me
I praise God from whom all my artistic and creative blessings flow...
I praise Christ for saving all us creatures here below...
I praise the great Holy Spirit for being with me, oh ye heavenly host, thank you...
I praise our Father, Son, and Holy Ghost.
I pray you, the reader, find a bit of joy and cheer in my efforts at portraiture., ;D
may my efforts glorify God...
I am a human male 18+ doing the best he can at any given moment. ; )
I love it when life keeps getting better,
and better,
and better;
when even the blues sound sweet n good
and the jazz rocks out clean n lean;
when the days are sunny and nights are mellow.
I am a beloved son,
a man born of a woman...
bless all mothers...
and fathers...
My spirit within God's image is perfect,
my body a reflection of my thoughts...
I am also a brother to three older sisters and three younger brothers.
I am a husband to a wonderful woman who is my sweetheart, my life friend, and spiritual life mate and friend.
I am blessed and/or cursed with a talent for photography.
for being able to see and make portraits...
for seeing compositions in a first glance..
with a sensitivity towards light being reflected...
I am here on Flickr for the photography and art, first and foremost..
I am not lookiing for dates or mates,
just to keep things in front of the lens., ;p
I am socialable and friendly nevertheless..
I am interested in most folks...
so much so that my undergrad degree is in sociology.. ; ))
Some more I AM's...
I am a father to a son I’m privileged to know and love,
I am a grandfather to a beautiful young woman leaving her childhood behind.
I am an uncle, a nephew, and a cousin to many great and gorgeous people - and I love it!
I expect for you the reader, to respect that I'm sharing photos of my relatives, my ancestors, my friends, and my family with you...
nudity is okay with me personally,
to me nudity is a natural state, the way we are born..
God's birthday suit to each of us..
it is our earthly temple our spirit images..
I especially appreciate really good nude portraits of females..
I am interested in nude portraiture...
I like to explore the boundaries of portaiture art..
pornography is not okay with me..
if/when you don't respect that, I will block you..
on the other hand, people having sex with each other is natural and perfectly okay with me...
I am not interested in viewing photography showing gynocology exams..
I realize each vagina, like each person, is unique...
I don't need to see your cervix and inner parts no more than I need to see your tonsils..
I don't plan on going to medical school...
share these shots with some other person than me please...
I am not interested in photography showing me how to have sex...
thanks just the same, I already know how..
on the other hand, if you are knowledgeable about how to shoot people having sex without being overly erotic and pornographic, I am very interested.. I like the photography and art, not the pornography and farts... ;)
I am not interested in how a guy is hanging..
I am not interested in seeing how you're hanging or looking up...
if you will notice, none of my photos, or the photos I favor show gaping vaginas, anuses, penises, or people engaging in sex
while nudity is God given, pornography as described above is not okay with me..
if/when you don't respect that, I will block you..
I have been interested in cameras since I understood there was a connection between the picture and the camera, and vice versa.
my first camera was a Kodak Brownie, my Mom's...
she would let me take a shot on a roll when she was able to afford a roll of film and developing the film and prints...
our family was poor materially and couldn't afford many photo opportunities..
(see my Collection/Sets here on Flickr for my photographic history)
In the US Army stationed at Finthen Army Airfieldd near Mainz Germany, I was eventually able to purchase an Argus C3 range finder camera..
it was my first 35mm., ;p
it had to be manually adjusted to shoot..
no light meter...
I had to wind the film with a knob instead of a lever throw handle..
according to finances I used mainly Kodak Tri-X b/w film..
At a nearby USO I learned how to develop film and make prints in the darkroom..
after being promoted and having a little bit more expendable cash, I was able to purchased a Ashai Pentax H-II, a 35mm, single lens reflex model. my first SLR., ;p
I also got a 300mm telephoto lens, a light meter, and other gear...
the H-II Pentax had a threaded lens mount, instead of the standard bayonet lens mount..
the advantages of a single lens reflex lens as opposed to a range finder lens... ;p
those were the days..
color film and the processing was coming into its day...
when I went to Nam I left my gear at home b/c of climate conditions and took a Kodak Brownie...
I didn't take that many photos... a few...
Later on in Seoul Korea I bought a Pentax Spotmatic so I could keep using my previous lenses..
I also got a portraiture camera, a Yashica D twins lens relex...
much later on, after my Spotmatic was stolen from my vehicle..
I also had some eye difficulties and didn't have a camera for a while..
my granddaughter got me back into shooting
I bought into Canon cameras.
an EOS iX Advantix system...
the film size was smaller than 35mm, more like 28mm..
I also got a strobe, 200mm zoom lens, tripod and goodies..
when Canon started the Rebel digitals, I went digital., ;p
I recognized the inefficiency of taking film prints and digitizing the shot versus of shooting digital...
digital cameras offer me much more control than did film...
I am a pretty good friend,
a heck of a beer drinking..
whiskey sipping kind of bar buddy. ; )
I like to hear a guitar playing,
an angel singing...
just sitting at a bar watching people
sniffing their wine and talking their talk.
Me, taking their picture... ; )
trying to get a one of a kind portrait...
something much more than just a photo...
I am also a mutually beneficial associate to have around. ; )
I am, or was, a well-educated and experienced professional;
conducting administrative research within Alabama's state prison system.
I retired in early 2002..
I am complex and cheerful., ;p
an "I'm okay, You're okay" kind of guy., ;p
I am a good casual acquaintance to have...
an audience of one that likes to laugh and enjoy life.. LOL!
I am kind of a good to know kind of guy. Lol!
I love taking portraits of God's beautiul creations and of the magnificent people I've met...
I love to shoot character portraits, mainly head or shoulder shots., ;p
I dabble with figure photography in whatever clothing the model is comfortable wearing publicly....
I love to shoot landscape themes and architectural features occasionally., ;p
I sometimes get talked into photographing children, pets, and animals of various kinds… lol!
takes a lot of arm twisting tho... ; ))
Nudity is the birthday suit God gave you and me.. ; )
as we grow up we learn to be ashamed of who we are and how we look..
with or without clothing..
above all things be true to God and to yourself.. ;)
I am an artist IMHO.. lol! ;o
I'm in the process of scanning thousands of old film prints, restoring most of them, and posting them from time to time.. ; )
Meanwhile I keep taking more photos.. LOL!
I've really curtailed myself tho... lol!
xoxoxoxoxoxoxo ;)
I play guitar and sing..
If you are interested further in me,
please check my facebook link at the end of my profile...
I'm a pretty good listener but don't have simple answers to complex situations… lol! ; )
I'm grateful Christ, and the great Spirit helps me... ; )
smiles upon me..
in peace and with good cheer., ;p
I Would Like To Meet
whoever I think is sent my way by the great Spirit..
I'm peaceful and keep alert for folks that are beautiful and gorgeous within themselves,
that knows God's love,
and has a talent for posing and showing off their beauty,
and loves the camera., ;p.
I am nonprofit and noncommercial.
woo woo lol!
I stay alert for other humans who may need a small measure of comfort and healing,
maybe just someone to listen..
I praise God for blessings... ;)
to my chagrin I'm vain and *LIKE* people who like me at first sight!
I cherish the feelings when people are attracted to me and want to like me!
I like that tingle... lol! ; ))
I want to have those fun and flirty associations that still evoke warm memories within me.
I cherish living life!...
again, I'm not about dates or mates,
just keeping things in front of the lens. LOL!
I am happily married, love to flirt, and am relatively harmless.
I am definitely not easy, but I can be had! Lol!
Peace and blessings xo ;)
