I'm a yoga-practicing library freak who's never been able to tear herself away from B&W film. One of my Bachelor's of Science degrees is in Photography, from Texas A&M-Commerce University (formerly known as East Texas State University). Quality improvement of digital cameras nudged me out of a high-end film scanning and file preparation job, which I really miss. (Especially the cheap access!)

Although I don't have an MLS, I've worked over 13 years in various public libraries. I'm taking a well-deserved break from public libraries for the moment. (Those of you who have ever worked in a public library will understand just how well-deserved that break is when you hear that my last position was head of Circulation!) Right now I'm enjoying photographing libraries, and while I might get my MLS someday, I'd rather concentrate more on academic versus public.

I'd recently struggled with the decision of going with digital photography for convenience, but I finally realized that I simply prefer the look of film. So I've committed myself to film and have even purchased a medium format camera I can actually carry around (the Mamiya C33 TLR not being conducive to hand-held wandering). I'll re-assess my position if/when my favorite films are discontinued.
