If there was an "official photographer" to capture the atmosphere, lighting, and mood of the hauntingly lovely but still devastated Crescent City, Chat would definitely get my vote for this position. I love his work, and it has inspired poetry on my part. It's not that others aren't talented; indeed, they are, but Chat consistently cranks out, in my opinion, the best "portraits" of N'Awlins - reflecting our history and heritage, our yesterdays and todays, our hearts, our hopes, our dreams, and our wounds also.
Read lessI have always been drawn to the honesty in Chat's work. His portrayal of his home town, takes you to the more unlikely places that most of would not dare explore. Definately one to keep your eye on!
