OK, where to begin with this man.....At first I thought I enjoyed Subhasish's work because it focused so much on the exotic people and locales of his native country.....A way of transporting me to a place where I was not, and THAT was the fascination.....I have since come to realize that it is not why I appreciate his work at all.....I feel he would be a fine photographer regardless of his surroundings.....He has a genuinely artistic eye and attention to detail, form, color, light, etc.....Perhaps it's his sensibility and skill as a designer he brings into his work, perhaps he's just incredibly talented, maybe all of it.....I rightly do not care.....I just very much enjoy his photographs, and hope he will continue to share them for a very long time.
