For those who are visiting Char's stream for the first time, you're in for a real treat. Her photos are conversation starters. So prepare to learn something, be part of a Flicker community and most of all, have fun. She's one of the sweetest , most knowledgeable, and talented people I know. If I ever get on the show "Who wants to be a millionaire" , I want her on my "phone a friend" list.

You can't just know Char a little. If you know her at all, you probably know her well. Her photos, descriptions and comments will make you think, laugh and want to respond with humor and thoughtfulness yourself. Before you know it, you're having a flickr conversation. A conversation that might end up having nothing or everything to do with the photo that started the ball rolling. She is a wealth of information. I think she believes her comments are personal challenges, meant to be filled with all of the juicy information that makes a post complete. I know she's completed many of mine. And, oh yes, to top it all off, she's a fine photographer too, with more knowledge than most of us about what makes a photograph interesting and pleasing.

You know how sometimes you come into a house and right away you feel at home? That’s how I felt when I visited Char & Justin in 2007, like visiting old friends, even though Char and I somehow missed each other as co-eds at UCD. Through our mutual friendship with Serena, we have become good friends in mid-life, sharing photography, cooking and baking, and speaking (writing?) of many other subjects. I’m just glad that I was brave enough to ask Char when I needed someone to stay with in the East Bay. True to her generous character, she and Jus welcomed me and I think they enjoyed their weekend guest as much as I did being there. Many thanks, old friend. Phyll
