I am Charlie, that's not my real name, but it is my name in Second Life (CharlieZ1) and I am transgender.

In Second Life, I am who I am inside, a TransGirl who wishes she had been born female but accepts that she was not. I do not hide behind a female avatar, pretending to be female, anyone who meets me knows what I am and my profile clearly states my gender identity. Maybe not surprisingly, I have made many friends, both male and female who are perfectly happy to accept me for who I am. Maybe, in time, I can use that support to help me deal with the challenges of the real world, but for now, this is my expression outlet.
