My name is Charles. I live in Central New York. I love to go to new Zoos and Zoos I've been to before, Rosamond Gifford Zoo, Seneca Park Zoo, Buffalo Zoo, Uttica Zoo, and the New York State Zoo. I love going to all the different Zoos because they all are different and I have my likes and dislikes about each one of them. I think they are all the best. If you would like to know about a zoo that your are thinking about going to and would like to know how they are, please look at my photo's and Flickr-mail me.

I always love to visit my uncle who lives in Kentucky to go to the Cincinnati Zoo, and the Louisville Zoo.

Soon I am planning a trip to go to the almost all the zoos in California.

I live on a farm and get a lot of practice with my Olympus C-720 and C-750 and my newest camera the SP-510 with my 1.7x Teloconverter.

I would also love to see lots of New Members in our group

Have FUN in the Group.

Charles is a young but talented person, who really can show how much he loves animals through photography. He captures awesome portraits and other views them at the zoos around him, and it's always a pleasure to watch his photographs!

Being Charles’ uncle I am extremely proud of his work. I prompted Charles into photography in 2004, just after his 12th birthday. Photography seemed like a perfect complement to his love of animals and he took to it like a duck to water. Charles has the ability to capture animals in perfect poses showing diverse moments of love, friendship, playfulness, nurturing, seeming introspection, and humor. Other classic poses simply show the beauty or downright cuteness of his subjects. Combining this ability with his knack for composition Charles has produced a wonderful portfolio of animal images, some of which are seen here on Flickr. I any particularly impressed by Charles’ ability to capture great images through glass, and chain-link and other types of fencing. This talent played a large part in his winning 1st Prize in the Student Category in the 2005, 2006 and 2007 Buffalo Zoo Photo Contests. Just recently, Charles was the only two award winner in the Rosamond Gifford Zoo (Syracuse, NY) 2008 Winter Photo Contest., with a 1st Prize and Homorable Mention in the Teen Catagory. It’s great that Charles’ animal images have been so well received by our Flickr friends. But, it is a shame that his great Sets documenting his 2006 People to People Student Ambassador trip to the Fiji Islands, New Zealand and Australia have been overlooked. Indeed, one of his images of a Group Leader won 1 of 5 categories in the national 2006 P2P Student Ambassador Photo Contest. I recommend these Sets to your attention. Having seen images still to be posted, knowing Charles’ love of animals and thirst to learn photography, I feel safe in saying “you ain’t seen nothing yet”.
