Charles Meier has been priveleged to serve as float designer and floral designer for the Sierra Madre Rose Float Association's entries in the 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2011 Rose Parades. All these designs earned awards. Sierra Madre is the smallest all-volunteer organization to enter a float in the Pasadena Tournament of Roses and works with the lowest budget of any entry in the parade.

Charles' work with the association entails developing initial concepts, creating large scale graphic renderings, supplying detailed schematics, creating comprehensive floral plans and supervising all aesthetic aspects of construction and decoration.
