The Center to Champion Nursing in America (www.championnursing.org) is an initiative of AARP, the AARP Foundation and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. A consumer-driven, national force for change, the Center works to ensure all Americans have a highly skilled nurse, when and where they need one.

In honor of National Nurses Week we put out a call for photographs representing the true breadth and depth of nurses’ work and their unique relationship with patients and families. Our goal was to build a repository of accurate and compelling images of nursing. Of the 200 entries we received,180 have become part of our photo repository. In addition, five issue area winners and one overall grand prize winner were selected, as well as a number of special mentions.

Access to this repository is free and open to organizations and individuals interested in advancing the image of nursing and consumers.
