Here at Champion Jiu Jitsu MMA Academy, at the core of our programs is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ). BJJ became popular in the USA by a man named Royce Gracie, who fought in the first Ultimate Fighting Championship or UFC as most people know it. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) remains to be the most effective martial arts form on the planet; utilizing leverage, technique, and form to allow even the smallest person to defeat a much larger attacker. We teach both traditional Gi Jiu Jitsu as well as No-Gi Jiu Jitsu (NGJJ), which is usually seen throughout Mixed Martial Arts (MMA).

Our Master Instructor is Carlos Machado, an 8th Degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ). His Uncle is Carlos Gracie, the Founder of BJJ. Here at Champion Jiu Jitsu you are getting extremely close to the source of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) as possible. This means for you that you are getting an exceedingly high level of technical instruction almost straight from the Master himself! No watered down BJJ here!
