Hi!

I have loved photography for over 40 years. It all began when I found an older SLR with thread mount lenses on a garage sale table; it was an Argus Cosina STL 1000. About 6 months after the thrift purchase I remember having an AHA! moment when the relational values of aperture, shutter speed, and ASA all came to an understanding in my mind's eye. I was avidly producing images for the next 10 years and gave it all up when I was in the thick of professional and domestic responsibility. I was given a point and shoot as a birthday present 15 years later and slowly got more and more addicted to the digital aspect. Six years ago, I bought a DSLR and I've accumulated more equipment since then. I like some of the photos I've taken over the years, but I truly feel like I haven't found my artistic groove as an amateur photographer. I'm looking forward to a time in the not so distant future when I retire and can spend more time exploring my creative intuition. I know what I like when I see images in various medias and I want to achieve that same satisfaction in producing my own art. I invite criticism and ideas from friends and fellow photogs in this flickr world.

I own two Pentax K-50 bodies, one older Pentax *istD body, P 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 lens, P 50-200mm f/4-5.6 lens, Tamron SP 70-210mm macro f/3.5 lens, HD Pentax-DA 35mm macro f/2.8 lens, SMC Pentax 100mm macro f/2.8 lens, SMC Pentax DA 300mm f/4.
