My photographic work is a natural extension of my keen attention to detail and serves as a way for me to recharge my batteries and reduce stress. I was introduced to black and white film and the rule of thirds in high school (c. 1999), was later initiated into the world of digital cameras (c. 2007), and more recently took what some might call a "step backwards" and started shooting medium format film (2011). I find that shooting film forces me to consider more carefully the photographs that I take and has influenced my use of the digital medium as well. I endeavour, as much as possible, to make a finished image in camera with minimal cropping and post-processing of my images. This includes my work in double exposures. Recent subject matter includes landscapes, urban settings, night photography, street art and portraits.
