It is not my purpose to show reality. I rather do a kind of Naïve photography (I mean that in a sense of childlike, carefree, colorful, innocent, imperfect, playful, and nostalgic), sometimes (wanna-be) Impressionism/Escapism. NO AI! Photography brings out my inner child and this I want to show in my pictures. I'm not a pro and I am not striving to be one. I'm almost exclusively a bright daylight shooter. To me, there's nothing wrong with a simple blue sky.

I treat others the way I would like to be treated, with kindness and respect. Please be polite enough to fave when you comment. If you don't like it enough to fave it, don't comment/praise it. Please don't insert group images or copy-and-paste comments under my photos as "spam" hurts a photo rather than supports it. Faving and later unfaving is NOT nice! I'm not a professional photographer but I still take pride in my photography.

I do not collect contacts (followers). I value activity on my gallery more than the contact list. Once I see a genuine interest in my work, I will add you. I always reciprocate via the faves list of my latest upload anyway, whether you are on my contact list or not. However, if I never see a sign of you visiting my stream even though you're active on Flickr, I will not keep you on my contact list. It's nothing personal, but too many people suddenly stop visiting once they're on the list.

There seem to be a lot of people who have a fear of colors. The fear of colors in psychology has a name: it's called Chromophobia. Symptoms are:

Extreme anxiety or panic attack

Shortness of breath - rapid and shallow breaths

Profuse sweating

Irregular heartbeat

Nausea

Dry mouth

Inability to speak or formulate coherent sentences

Shaking, shivering, trembling

Dull photos (just kidding)

I like my music loud, my food spicy, and my photos colorful.

Listening to the critique of others won't make you better, only more conform. Most likely, you don't question the colors of a painting. Why then with a photograph? It, too, is ART.

99.999% of my photos are taken handheld. I like to feel the act of taking a photo. When I use a tripod, I feel detached from the camera and from photography.

We can only photograph the objects that surround us but our creativity bursts our bounds. I don't care if you are a pro or not, I enjoy interesting and unique photos, not perfect and cliched ones. I prefer mood and feeling to technical accuracy and image quality. I love rich, vibrant and opalescent colors, playful experimentation, childlike and impressionistic presentations, and a mysterious and mythical atmosphere. However, I appreciate ALL styles of photography, from regular shots to artistically processed, from street to people to wildlife and landscapes, even ships, planes, trains, and automobiles, as long as they are done well with enthusiasm. I do not fave or comment on nude photography, though, and definitely none depicting violence, sorry!

And please keep in mind Pablo Picasso's wise words, “Art is not truth. Art is a lie that makes us realize truth.”
