As a teenager my first SLR was a Pentax K1000 and I was able to develop black and white photos in his my father’s make shift darkroom. After high school I put away my camera for two decades but then began exploring photography again but this time in the age of the digital SLR and computer technology.

As a band director for over 30 years I’ve spent my life sculpting sound with tones. A photo is similar. I use the camera to help create the “musical score” and then through the digital darkroom I am able to sculpt the light to create my vision of the print.
