One focus of this site is to use classic GI Joe figures and accessories to more accurately depict WWII to Vietnam Era military settings.
For instance, when Hasbro depicted an Air Force Air Security officer, they would typically show him dressed in the orange flight suit. However, if the Carbine and AS Helmet are put onto a GI Joe Soldier figure, with the green fatigues, you get a fairly accurate depiction of a real AS Officer from the 50's-60's. (Even the hard cap that comes with the Soldier is a great match for the USAF security members of the very early 60's.)
Additionally, I'll just plain have fun mixing and matching the classic styled uniform pieces to put together whatever image I feel like at the time!
As I child I had one of the original GI Joes, and a few of the original military sets. However, my hardcore GI Joe years were during the peak of the Adventure Team era. However, something about the vintage painted-head military era Joes has really captured my attention. So now, my collection primarily consists of 40th anniversary & Timeless Collection GI Joe reproduction sets. That will comprise about 95% of the photographs on this site.
