I'm a Seattlelite…Plain and Simple. I've grown up with skyscrapers, tall trees, surrounded by water and mountains on each side. How blessed I am to have such a varying landscape; outside my door, or a few hours down the road.

I was first drawn to photography back in high school. Starting first with my dad’s old Spotmatic camera, it was a blast to shoot a roll of B&W film in the field, develop it in the darkroom, and see just what I had. This journey has continued on with a newer Canon SLR, with me spending the last several years chasing the light, shooting seemingly endless rolls of slide film through it.

The anticipation that accompanies taking pictures is hard to beat. And of course the pay off; viewing them later, whether through the back of a camera’s monitor, or a slide on a light table, is what brings me back for more.

This is all part of a journey. These are more than pictures to me; they are a reminder that I am a part of these places, a part of nature, and a part of the history that has taken place in each photo.

More to come!
