I am strictly an amateur based in Basingstoke, Hampshire who is trying to improve with every passing year. My main interests are Dragonflies and Butterflies but if it moves that's OK. Macro photography is where I'm happiest but I'm trying hard to improve my bird photography but with age holding a long lens still enough gets ever more challenging. I also love scenic photography especially coastal but I'm no landscape photographer.

I am currently using my favourite Nikon D500 with a AF-S VR Micro-Nikkor 105 mm f/2.8G IF-ED for macro work and with a Nikon 200-500 mm f/5.6 zoom for birds (but I keep returning to my old faithful Sigma 50-500 mm F4.5-6.3 DG OS HSM zoom) and a Canon EOS 5D Mark4 with a Canon EF 24-105 mm f/4L IS II USM zoom for scenery / holidays photographs etc
