Hi - my name is Cathy; I am an amateur photographer, doll maker, kayaker, hiker, and nature lover. I have always been interested in birds...probably because my grandparents were. I had grandparents in Cape Cod who fed many birds and hand fed chickadees. My grandpa in Brockton had a woodsy back yard with numerous bird feeders set high up in the birch trees. My mother, who lived in Indialantic, Florida, was active in preserving scrub jay habitat. She loved butterflies. So it's just natural for me to enjoy the outdoors and the beauty of it all. I can be quite satisfied just wandering around my own yard waiting to digitally capture whatever comes along.

My interests range from sculpting to junk art to street painting, an activity I just recently discovered in late 2011. Joined the Florida Chalk Artists Association and hope to participate in some events this year. It's a fantastic way to work in the here and NOW - especially useful for a procrastinator like me!
