I first became seriously interested in photography in 1995 when I purchased my first 35mm camera before a backpacking trip to Machu Picchu and Taquile Island in Peru. Then digital photography took off and I purchased a Sony 3.1 megapixel camera which actually produced some great photos, starting in 2001 on an Inn to Inn hike in Scotland. Now I use a mid-range Nikon 5200 when my wife took over our Nikon 7100. She is the artist in the family and so deserved the better camera. We both share a 150-600mm Tamron while both of us have 16-300 Tamron lenses. I highly recommend the 150-600. Wildlife seems to be the subject of choice for me. We live in Florida and are in the midst of one of the most diverse birding areas in the states. And we have manatees, which make for exciting interactions as well as photography. We also have attended music festivals throughout the years and have collected quite a few photos of the artists we have enjoyed.
