Airborne cavalry soldier. 1st Platoon, Bravo Troop, 5th Squadron, 73d Cavalry Regiment, 82d Airborne Division. I started this Flickr account firstly for my family and friends - I know they want to see the kinds of things I do and just me living and whatnot. Secondly, it's for pretty much everyone else. What I'm trying to do is show Army life beyond the recruitment posters. Some of this stuff is really fascinating, fun, and generally good. Some of it really isn't. I want to show people what it's like to be a soldier as well as I can - I just have to work around the limits of my job (most of the time doing my job doesn't involve snapping photos, especially because I'm part of combat arms).
