A BIT ABOUT ME

Apart from that full time job of a student and a FreeLance Visual Artist, I love painting while listening to music. Jazz, Hip-hop, Bebop, Slamming, Blues, Classical… these are some of my favourites. As a child I learnt to play the piano but musical instruments and I don’t go hand in hand.

 

My passion and bullheadedness often puts me in a position of constant speculation. As I have an utter dislike towards laziness and nagging. Morally I am against theft of ideas and never succumb to such low deeds.

 

My Inspiration

Cultural exposure and Intercultural mingling inspires my artwork. I believe in female empowerment and am strictly against racism. Hounding on juried competition is not my way as critics never gave birth to artists.

 

I do welcome constructive criticism. But if you just wish to criticise my work based on gender bias, prejudice or racism, carefully covered or coated with an air of your superior knowledge of studied Art, please feel free to avoid this page.

MY CAMS

My 1st go at photography was with my maternal uncle’s Nikon F3, on my 3rd or 4th birthday. Ever since I have loved photography. My 1st camera was a Kodak VR35 K40 that I got at the age of 6. (Which eventually was used less by myself, but more by my mother.) For my 18th birthday I received a Sony Cybershot DSC-P10 from my mom. On my 21st birthday I received a Fuji S9600, for my 25th a Nikon D90 and for my 27th a Nikon D300s.

MY MOTO

I do not believe that there can be minimalism in photography; even to capture a shadow in the canvas of emptiness - speaks a thousand words and shows a thousand things. I do believe that everyone has his or her own eye at photography and that which goes unnoticed, sadly enough, is probably the most brilliant shot one could ever take. So never overlook anything that is “bizarre”, or “bland” according to you. Chances are that those are the masterpieces.
