Casey Trees' mission is to restore, enhance and protect the tree canopy of the Nation's Capital.

Trees in urban areas provide a number of important environmental, economic and health benefits. They help to clean the air, curb stormwater runoff, raise property values, sequester carbon, reduce energy costs, and create jobs.

Each year Casey Trees plants hundreds of trees, engages volunteers of all ages in tree planting and care, educates thousands of students about trees, monitors the City’s tree canopy, and provides guidelines for better planting space design so trees will thrive in the City.
