This is a photographic guide to the living species of the California Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco California for docent teaching purposes.

 

This site is has been developed by Ron DeCloux a docent at the Academy for docent educational use concentrating on the Steinhart Aquarium and is primarily organized by creature families and habitats. The Rainforest section is an exception being organized by rainforest exhibits.

 

The flickr photographs were mostly taken at the California Academy of Sciences by Ron DeCloux.

 

Text information on photos is obtained from the Docent Field Guide to the Species of The Steinhart Aquarium edited by Sandy Linder. In addition information was obtained from multiple listed references as well as those cited on specific critters.
