Oi! Hello there!

Welcome to Raffy@flickr.com. Im so glad i got you interested on my little spot in the flickr universe. Quite a lot of you has been checking it out and i feel very honoured. Keep checking my portfolio every once in a while because theres always news!

I started at photography with those disposable film cameras. You would buy those, take the pictures and once the film is over, you would take it to the store to the the photos developed but they would only give you the photos. The camera would go to the trashcan. Eventually, i bought my first digital camera, a compact 3.2 mp Canon. In the year of 2007, i met my ex who happened to be on vacation visiting the city with her cousin from Israel. Her cousin served the Israeli army for the 3 years and his job there was to take photographs. He had an Advanced Point and Shoot camera and that camera got me curious. He taught me the very basics and went back to Israel, leaving me with an enormous will to learn more about the art. So i started buying book, checking websites, and every source of knowledge about photography that i could find. In Dec. of that year i got an Advanced Point and Shoot camera, a FujiFilm Finepix s8000fd. That camera brought my skills up so fast and i could better understand concepts and how to make better pictures. I still have that camera and i keep it at home dearly. On the beggining of 2009 i bought my first DSLR, a Canon Rebel Xti. A few months later, i got in touch with the work of Erlend Robaye whos an amazing photographer/artworker. Among the many styles he excels at, HDR in particular caught my very attention. Erlend recognized my potential and accepted to be my formal mentor. After a few months under his tutorship, some of my photos reached top 200 most popular on yahoo. That gives me an enoumous will to keep learning and sharing with everyone my very own point of view of this world we live in.
