I absolutely adore Carrie and her work. She's a gifted and accomplished artist. I like the way that she sees the world. She has a keen eye and an uncanny ability to simplify a frame. She makes the ordinary things that we encounter every day, extraordinary. One look at her photostream will show you her versatility. Her range of subject matter engages you and immerses you in her world -- from landscapes to self portraiture. I admire not only the quality of her work, but her ability to connect with her viewers through her imagery and prose. Her spirit shines, and you can see it in her work. She's a wonderful friend too: open, honest, patient, and supportive. She's always there to cheer you on. There are few people that we meet in our lifetime that truly inspire us. Carrie is one of those people: She makes me want to be a better photographer and a better person. For that, and her friendship, I'll always be grateful.
