Joe began to learn carpentry as a young boy under the watchful eye of his dad Tullio, a master carpenter. Joe continued to hone his skills and became an apprentice. After years of hard work, he became a carpenter. For many years the two - father and son - would often work together. Aside from working as Union carpenters, they also produced custom, one-of-a kind fine wood working projects. As word spread about their beautiful and detailed work, and many requests for new projects came in, Joe decided to launch his own business. In 1987, Carpentry Concepts was born!
Following with the family tradition, Joe Scocchera Jr joined his dad in 1997 to make Carpentry Concepts a family business. Both Joe Sr. and Joe Jr. masters of their trade and are considered to be experts and artists.
