For the majority of my working life to date I have been a jobbing carpenter, turning self-employed in 1990 working directly for landlords of residential property, a few select letting agents and a variety of block management agents. The occasional commercial office and shop owners too. Working on domestic properties when recommended by an existing client as I rarely need to look for any work outside of my core regular client base.

My core topics are repairs and replacements within carpentry and joinery, as a locksmith working for the likes of Managing agents and M.L.Banfield & Sons, re-glazing windows and doors, and on occasions other work such as fitting metalwork for Mirlyn, grilles, gates and railings.

I have at one time belonged to five different 'associations' all supposed to be an aid to gain work, yet other than the 'fee' to join all were more about promoting them then gaining work, but for the time wasting estimates.
