Carpenter & Carpenter is a husband and wife partnership and was formed in 2001. Both partners had gained extensive experience in the design industry before setting up.

Andrew Carpenter is a Furniture Design graduate from Ravensbourne College of Design and Communication and has exhibited at Aram Designs London, Redesign London and the International Furniture Fair in New York. He originally trained as a boat builder and worked for leading racing yacht and dinghy companies, liaising with highly respected yacht designers and producing sailing yachts mainly in timber. He has also worked for several contemporary design led furniture manufacturing companies in London.

Lorraine has worked internationally as a commercial fashion designer liaising with buyers, factories and CEO’s. Seeing designs through from conception to high street.

"Within design and manufacturing there has to be a great deal of trust between makers, clients and project managers and we have built our business on delivering this simple principle. This has led to high quality commissioned furniture for corporations, public artists, architects, interior designers and discerning private clients. Our involvement in a project generally starts at the design stage, either providing concepts or with the detailed plans being supplied, allowing us to progress straight to the workshop. Our central aim is to provide an accurate and efficient service that allows the client to relax in the knowledge that we will bring high quality creative projects to realisation on time, to budget and with great attention to detail".
