I'm just your average kinda guy that seems to land up at some very interesting projects. Previously it was at the Southern African Large Telescope, but these days I work at Optimal Energy on the Joule Battery Electric Vehicle. Though these days it does mean that I get very little time for anything but some family happy snaps. I have two boys and a lovely wife and though I long for my BMW 650 Dakar I ride a Kymco 250cc scooter these days.

My favourite camera? Well I've only owned 4 serious cameras - the Nikon N80, F100 (x2) and FE2. I currently have the F100 and FE2, but I'd be hard pressed to choose between the two, though the F100 is definitely best for action. I also recently acquired one "non-serious" camera a Lomo LC-A. My only digital is a decent point and shoot - the Canon SX100iS.

General photographic principles? Not many really except trying to improve my photography as much as I can. One thing I stick to is pretty much not mucking about with post-processing. What I scan in is what you get, except for a bit of cropping here and there. At most I will remove dust and artificial things like that but the colour and exposure I (mostly) keep as is.

Take a look at this set and this set to find out more about the style of photos I like. Here's a thumbnail list of all my photos sorted by date.

... and I believe in Ducks and Plasma People, but if you want to know more it'll cost you... at least a bit of sanity.
