I am a Trainer with St John Ambulance and an Advanced First Aider with the volunteer side of SJA. But that has little bearing on my photography.
I have a degree in chemistry and live with my girlfriend, who is a biologist. I have a great appreciation of, if not always an understanding, of all things scientific. A lot of my photos attempt to show both the micro and macro scale features of our environment.
My main hobby is walking, both around Oxfordshire and in to the mountains. I am a summer mountain leader and a walk leader for HF Holidays.
I have two cameras. Most of the walking and mountain photography is taken using a Fujifilm XP10. Its waterproof, shockproof, sandproof and freeze proof. So its ideal for stuffing in a pocket and capturing the rain and windswept summits.
I also have a Nikon D7100 that I mainly use when I don't have to walk too far.
