Carla is another of my "virtual" friends here on Flickr. I could say a lot about how great Carla's photographic work has become in recent months, but what I feel is more important to me is how big a heart she has proved to have, and how willing she has shown herself to share it, not only with me, but with all who cross her path.

I have known Carla as a Flickr member for just a few weeks at this time, but have already come to realize that there is something special about her. She has been into photography for less than a year, yet her photos show that there is much more there than just a new interest. There is talent that I feel will grow and become even better as she spends more time with her pictures. She has already posted many shots that are quite beautiful and unique. She has imagination and isn't afraid to let it transport her to unexplored regions. I feel that she is also a determined person. Not only has she taken on the challenge of photography itself, but has also thrown down the gauntlet to Photoshop which, in my humble opinion , is daunting. She is also willing to help others. Being new to computers and "computerese" three weeks ago I had absolutely no idea what IMHO meant even though I was seeing it multiple times. Carla was the one to help me with that. She has also helped with other things, some of which I understand, and others which are still something of a mystery. There are sometimes people who are such that their personality seems to be able to come through some formidable barriers; such as a computer screen and the Atlantic Ocean. Carla is such a person, and the personality that comes through is quite pleasant and a compliment to humanity. Keep on shooting Carla.

She has the soul of an artist.....you can see that just by looking at her work. Truly a wonderful person. I am happy to know Carla....she makes my day seem brighter when she comments on my work and that in itself is a miracle!
