CAREL has been working in the field of refrigeration, air conditioning and humidity control since 1973. The company designs, produces and sells systems for the humidity control, electronic controllers and supervisory systems for the HVAC/R market. CAREL has by now consolidated an international reputation (over 70% of total sales are made abroad), and operates directly through 13 subsidiaries, production plants in Italy, Brazil, China and USA and a sales network in over 70 different countries around the world.

The Carel Group, which in 2009 achieved consolidated sales of 104 million euro, has its headquarters in Brugine (Padova province, Italy), on an area of around sixteen thousand sq.m, and with more than 400 staff. Consolidated sales figures for 2010, to be approved by the Board in June 2011, will according to expectations show an increase of 31% over 2009 and 22% compared to 2008.
