M.4 is highly artistic and a B&W purist (as well as a fly fishing purist). He admires Ansel Adams and many other B&W photogs, which you see reflected in the drama of his shots. His image editing software is his "dry" darkroom. He enjoys editing, cropping, and manipulating the contrast to create mood, drama and interest. He likes to experiment with effects. He shoots his Cannon with a telephoto and gets most of his landscapes while on fishing trips and vacations. He has also made some good shots with a simple point-and-shoot digital.
