I am a self taught whimsical cartoon artist. I hand draw everything with colored pencils. Someone once called me Grandma Moses. I wondered...I know I am 50 but have I really aged that much. Then I found out that Grandma Moses didn't start to draw until she was in her 60's and she has a style sort of like mine. I draw with my hands but my images come from my heart. I would rather laugh and have fun than worry about anything, including making money with my art. Although that certainly is a motivator, I picked up my pencils because I wanted to give my life partner Rick something to do. He is recovering from a long illness and was gettting restless. He is good with the computer and the social networks so we thought Why not? I have recently been bitten by racehorseitis. I love to draw scenes about horseracing and racetracks and horses.
