Rod is real. I mean this in the best sense of the word. Rod is a prime example of what this world needs more of on a day to day basis. You can see the reality and the beauty of day to day things through Rod's eyes when you look at his pictures. His pictures evoke, longing and peace in the same breath. In a world of hysteria, he presents the reality of what life is and should be in all your interaction with him, whether it's in person in live discussions or as a voyeur looking at his picture. I can't even remember how long I"ve known Rod here in the Flickrverse, but it's been so long, I don't know how long I've known him, just that I have known him for a long time and look forward to the day we can catch up in person. Seriously, go check his photo stream .. you'll be a better person for it.

I was mentally draughting this testimonial whilst perusing Rod's photostream for the first image of his that twigged me to his talent (elena by the window) - and I've just been stuck in there for 20 minutes... i had forgotten that HE was responsible for many of the images from a DMU group that i can recall vividly. Simple images with no pretence but great impact. It really is a pity that he doesn't shoot (and share) more. he certainly knows where to look.

Frankly the last thing Rod needs is a testimonial from me. He's got it all ! The cutest kids, a camera and the talent to capture their most touching moments, a great sense of humour and as impressive a wit, a passion for his work so great he even engages in conversations with loonies from the other side of a planet. I seriously wish I had his clone in my entourage, but alas, he's quite unique. So is his stream. Fortunately, the latter is available 24/7.
