Hi there, I'm Katie Barget.

I've had a camera in my hands since I was ten years old, when my Dad gave me my first ever Canon. I set up my first little photo biz as a side hustle, for the love of fun, colour, composition, and play. That was in 2009 ... Now in 2025, I'm still at it. Captar Photo [@captarphoto]. I work with all shapes and sizes of business, events and get to play with lifestyle (food, drink & interiors) too! I love the variety, and I love what I do.

Born in London, I moved to Sydney 22 years ago, in search of a life full of sun, and sunny people. My key focus when I shoot is EMOTION and AUTHENTICITY. I easily build great rapport with all, whether directing portrait shoots, team and office, headshots, capturing the energy at events, using my love of lighting for media/corporate shoots, or for food/drink clients. I work with some amazing brands, large blue chip corporate companies, and fabulous independent event companies.
