My goal is to suggest what the Canary Islands mean to me and to help you marvel at the beauty, light, and stark contrasts offered by these splendid Atlantic islands, which in themselves are a "Continent in Miniature."

I show the islands from a dual perspective: that of a local and that of a visitor, with the feeling and experience of being a Canarian who has been an emigrant and immigrant from these islands where I was born. My passion is spreading the word about the landscape and heritage of these Atlantic islands.

My main specialty today is "architectural and artistic heritage photography" and its various variations. I also specialize in "documentary photography" of everyday and traditional scenes.

The style and technique I use is simple and direct: camera, tripod, and shutter, without the use of filters. Simply capturing the light, the atmosphere, and the moment of the place or situation.

For exposure and development, I apply the Zone System, inherited from my days of chemical black and white, which I now use with Camera Raw, Capture One, and Photoshop.

Photography is my profession, and I make a living from it.

Watermarks: this is what bothers me the most and gives me the most work to add to photographs. But it's even harder for me to have to legally claim the misappropriation of my photographs for commercial use. Therefore, if you would like any photograph, please contact me first. These galleries of my photographs are not for free use. Please respect my work.

Mi objetivo es sugerir lo que es para mi Canarias y hacer que puedas maravillarte de la belleza, la luz y los marcados contrastes que ofrecen estas espléndidas islas del Atlántico, que en sí mismas son un “Continente en Miniatura”.

Muestro las islas desde un doble punto de vista; la del lugareño y la del visitante, con el sentir y la experiencia de ser un canario que ha sido emigrante e inmigrante de estas islas que me vieron nacer. Una pasión el difundir el paisaje y el patrimonio de estas islas del Atlánticas.

Mi principal especialidad hoy día es la "fotografía patrimonio arquitectónico y artístico" y sus distintas variantes. Como también la "fotografía documental" de escenas cotidianas y costumbristas.

El estilo y la técnica que utilizo es sencillo y directo; cámara, trípode y disparador, sin uso de filtros. Simplemente recoger la luz, la atmósfera y el momento del lugar o situación.

Para la exposición y revelado, aplico el Sistema de Zonas, heredado de mi época del B/N químico y que hoy día realizo con Camera Raw, Capture One y Photoshop.

La Fotografía es mi profesión y vivo de ella.

Marcas de Agua: es lo que más me molesta y más trabajo me da añadir a las fotografías. Pero más trabajo me da, es tener que reclamar judicialmente la apropiación indebida de mis fotografías para usos comerciales. Por tanto en caso de querer alguna fotografía pongase primeramente en contacto conmigo. Estas galerías de fotografías mías no son para uso libre. Ruego respete mi trabajo.
