My purpose is to share what the Canary Islands mean to me: a land of light, contrasts, and beauty —a true miniature continent in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.

 

I portray the islands from a double perspective: that of the local who lives here and that of the traveler who returns.

I was born in these islands, yet I have also been both an emigrant and an immigrant of my own land.

That experience shapes the way I look and photograph.

 

I specialize in architectural and artistic heritage photography, as well as in documentary photography of everyday and traditional scenes.

 

My style is direct and essential: camera, tripod, and remote release —without filters or artifice.

I seek to capture the atmosphere, light, and moment just as the place reveals them.

 

In post-processing, I apply the Zone System, inherited from my black-and-white chemical photography days, now adapted to digital tools such as Camera Raw, Capture One, and Photoshop.

 

Photography is both my profession and my way of living.

Mi propósito es mostrar lo que para mí significa Canarias: un territorio de luz, contrastes y belleza, un auténtico continente en miniatura en medio del Atlántico.

 

Las islas las muestro desde una doble mirada: la del lugareño que las habita y la del viajero que regresa. Nací aquí, pero también he sido emigrante e inmigrante de mi propia tierra, y esa experiencia se refleja en mi manera de mirar y fotografiar.

 

Me especializo en fotografía de patrimonio arquitectónico y artístico, y en fotografía documental de escenas cotidianas y costumbristas.

 

Mi estilo es directo y esencial: cámara, trípode y disparador, sin filtros ni artificios. Busco captar la atmósfera, la luz y el instante tal como el lugar los ofrece.

 

En el revelado aplico el Sistema de Zonas, herencia de mi época del blanco y negro químico, que hoy adapto a herramientas digitales como Camera Raw, Capture One y Photoshop.

 

La fotografía es mi profesión y también mi manera de vivir.

 

Sobre los derechos de autor:

las marcas de agua no me agradan, pero me protegen.
