Hello, all. I'm using this site to display photos of Panama and the Panama Canal. To view the photos up close and personal, double-click on the image. Then, choose "all sets" in the page that comes up. You can choose "original" to get a close up view of the scene. I used an E-500 Olympus, SLR, digital, 8.1 Megapixel camera for all of these images.

Having been raised in Panama, from 1946 - 1970, my comments on the photos show my reaction to the changes made to the buildings, streets, and townsites of the former Canal Zone. I think the U.S. did a great job in creating and maintaining the Panama Canal and I wish Panama and its people the best in continuing the operation and maintenance of such a beautiful canal and country.
