Carol is one of those people who has a profound effect on my photography. We are separated by hundreds of miles and live in completely different parts of the country, experience different climates, and are greeted by different natural subjects to photograph. So what is it, exactly, that has such an effect on me? Her passion. When I look at Carol's pictures, I can sense the joy, excitement, and pure love for her newfound craft. That is contagious! When I interact with Carol on Flickr, it brings a smile to my face and brings to light the passion for my own photography (which is sometimes buried quite deep). She manages to help bring me out of slumbers and set out in search of the next great photo. I have also had the privilege of encountering Carol at the start of her photographic journey. I can still remember some of her earlier work…and I noticed then, as I continue to now, a strong curiosity for learning everything about this art form. I am continually astounded at how far Carol has progressed in such a short period of time. Furthermore, Carol is a kind, thoughtful, genuine person. She manages to not only infect me with her own excitement, but also leaves me with a feeling of all that is good in our world.
