Had to think about what makes Calvina and her work special, and after several weeks, I came up with the perfect fit: Practical Magic. She isnt about all the technical tricks, she just imbues her images with the right amount of magic and tenderness, that they dont hit you in the face, but they touch your soul. This isnt to say she doesnt know what she is doing, but like true masters, she creates and lets the craftmanship go toward that end. Plus, Ive had the privilege of meeting her in person, and she is truly the sweetest thing. I dont do many testimonials, even for the deserving, so doing this should tell you how highly I think of her work.
