Most of my finds currently pictured were found located along beaches of Calvert County MD (Chesapeake Bay) in June 2013- 2015.

When I first moved to Kenwood in June 2013 (Cliffs of Calvert County—famous for Megalodon and other shark teeth and fossils) I started searching for shark teeth and other fossils and then stone tool & rock art artifacts

When I started combing the beach for fossils, I found myself also drawn to an abundance of gorgeous colorful stones on the beach—so I started collecting beach stones too.

With my small collection [at the time], I started to notice many of the small beach stones had similar shapes, some I found to be odd, so once again I turned to the internet to do some research. I researched to ID some of the stones, shark teeth, and fossils--and then became sort of obsessed!

It wasn't long before I was drawn to websites that focused on artifacts. I became very curious and dug more into Native American [stone tool] artifacts research. After many late nights, with over-stressed eyeballs from staring at the computer for countless hours, I felt strongly that I may have found some native stone tool artifacts (and portable rock art)-- and then my collecting got a little out of hand.

I seriously started to feel like a junkie spending HOURS at the beach bringing WAY TOO MUCH stuff back and not even certain of what I had/have. Unfortunately, I moved out of that beach community in Dec 2014, but there are other beaches in my county which is along the Chesapeake Bay.

My pretty stones and ALL of my other finds have taken up closet spaces because I haven't gotten rid of anything and continue to bring home more lol
